So, on August 26, 2006, I started a blog on www.vox.com. It was my “secret” blog for me to rant and air out frustration in my growingly complicated world. It was therapy and a good place to rant unfiltered into the ether. Some of the posts made it to Graegram.com but the majority were purely to rant. Vox is shutting it’s doors at the end of the month but some of the random friends I followed on there I will still keep tabs on because they were really interesting and oddly wise. I think I will still have a secret blog to rant unapologetically but who knows when I will start that again. Below was my first post.
“it is what it is’
This saying has been a prevalent theme for me for 2006. At first it gave me comfort as i didn’t put too much into anything and accepted things at face value. But now, unfortunately, the time has come to step up and find out what IS it, exactly. This is good because the thin veil of uncertainty will finally be uncovered. However, that means it is either going to be really, really, good or really, really, bad. I want to be optimistic but the overanalytical cynic in me is taking over and looking at the reality of the situation. Sucks, but I’ll deal. At least i’ll KNOW instead of assuming/ guessing/ hoping/ thinking/ speculating/ dreaming/dreading or not caring. Wish me luck!
