Behold, The Table of Truth Season 2 Mixtape! This was a cool collaboration with my podcast partners in crime; Pope created the cover, Duane shot the photo and picked the songs (as part of The Maroon Cafe), and I mixed it all together (GeekChic baby!). Artists include Meek Mill, The Roots, Nas, Adele, Childish Gambino, James Blake, and Theophilus London. So enjoy and tell a friend!

I have very few traditions but I try and keep them. There’s nothing superstitious about them or special or incredibly important. Just a few things to make sure I pause and reflect. [Sidenote: Domo twice in less than a week? Don't hate, Domo is the man until RomG comes, that is.] Continue reading
13: Warm Songs 4 Cold Days
In Music on
I used to work at an indie movie theater/cafe in Downtown San Jose during college. It was an eclectic mix of artists, designers, writers, budding film makers, and musicians. Besides the random films we showed, we were allowed to play whatever CD’s (yea I said CD’s) we wanted. So I would make CD mixes of songs, give them themes, and play them in the cafe. One of the more popular ones were my “Hip-Hop Luv” mixes. Basically, R&B song’s with rappers on it or rap songs talking about women. Either way, they were a good reflection of what I would of listened to in my car, if I had one. That is the inspiration for this latest mix, enjoy, tell a friend, and look for me and the GeekChic [site | twitter] crew rockin’ a party near you sooner than you think.

It’s not high art but it helps me get improve for other projects as well as document the variety of talents my friends have. So, welcome Byron Cox of The House Dance Project on “My Friends are Fresh”, he has been dancing for a minute and has a lot of good views on the growing dance culture here and abroad. Also, much props to The Beatsmiths for providing original music.
