04: Speed Painting | Smurf Killer

DUDE, 3 illustration posts in a row!? That’s unheard of but here we are! As I do more and more coding at work, I have been using my off time to paint and work on the sciene faire gallery show (one week left!). The Lazy Artists Club is in full swing so I am committing to being consistent with it. Now I just got to design some stuff. lol

03: Speed Painting | That One Hipster Guy

There is this ONE guy on Bedford Ave: beard, red glasses, sleeve/neck tattoo, balding, and reading a random classic dog-eared novel. I’ve seen him all the time just chillin in the coffee shop, reading his book. I think I’ll ask him next time.

This was posted for our Lazy Artists Club weekly challenge. I got another one to do due on weds!

02: Speed Painting | Sad Bride

Last week’s horrible Batman painting spawned the return of the Lazy Artists Club! Its members ( Pope Phoenix, Edward Ofori, and Phil Mamuyac) pledge to stop being lazy and produce art. Really, it is a thinly masked attempt to make myself accountable for not drawing as much! But hey, whatever gets the juices flowing. We’ll post 1 20 min all digital painting a week on whatever topic we think is cool. I know my next few speed paints are gonna be bad till I am officially back, but got to start somewhere.

Above is Speed Painting #2: woman. I picked a sad bride but not too sure why shes sad. Maybe she was left at the altar? Maybe she saw her groom naked and was like “this sucks”? Maybe her drunken uncle crashed into the cake and whilst half naked? Maybe shes sad cuz her neck is so long? Whatever the reason, shes painted and out to the interwebs! Can’t take it back! Feels like I am starting all over in art. Damn you Batman, I will avenge my art honor, this i swear!
