Branding: The Tryptych Group

I have mentioned The Tryptych Group before , but I have completed the brand identity for it recently. We wanted an old school TV Channel feel but modern and clean (got to love buzz words!). We are still a bit divided on the color scheme but all in due time. December is going to be a busy month for us with 2 productions in the works and a redesign of the site by January 1. Stay tuned!

Brand: Geek Chic DJ’s

So a very good friend (and former student) of mine, Tim Grae, wanted to start deejaying on the regular. He wanted to play grown folks (30+) music. Thus Geek Chic was born. Along with Dj Dubz, we play that sheit you forgot about from middle school, high school, and yo mama’s school. Funk, soul, r&b, hip-hop, house, rock, whatever will get bootys shakin and two steppin’, that’s what we play. You can check my mixes [here] and DJ DUBZ mixes [here], and Tim Grae mixes are coming soon.

I finished our branding a week or so ago (with assist from PopePhoenix) and am quite please with results. Enjoy!

Design: Mookie Creative Branding

So back in the broke days, i was freelancing under Mookie Design and later Random Order Media Group. Fun times, late nights, globe hopping, and very creative thinking to make ends meet. It was a great learning experience and wouldn’t trade it for the world! But, I have grown and even got a little better since then (I hope!) so it is time to re-brand ”mookie” and keep it moving forward.

Above is the first phase of that process: type treatment. I will post the graphic element next and then figure out some combos to get the final product. A work in progress but I think its coming along.

Print: Housedancer.com Business Card designs

Working on the Housedancer.com branding, media kit, and promotions. We are really gearing up for July’s main house dance event in nyc. Should be really fun and a great time to market ourselves to all the visitors coming in. Dancer business cards are always have the persons pictures on them. I am not a fan so i really had to find a sweet spot between industry standard and something cool. Performers DO need their pics on the cards to market themselves, so hopelfully it came out cool.
